Poem #10

I can’t believe you looked at me.

Your eyes were everything I could see.

I’m asking myself: Why would he do that?

Maybe it was only in my head.

He has a girlfriend, for God’s sake!

I need something to beat and shake.

Why is he keeping my hopes up?

‘Cause every time I’m like “Yup,

Going to get over you tonight!”

You show me your smile again, so bright.
I can't think about anything but you.
Are you seeing where it's leading to?

Just stop it now, all right?
